Aino Korhonen est une designer finlandaise (et maman de deux jeunes garçons) qui vit à Helsinki. Elle a une maîtrise en design de mode de l’Université Aalto, avec une spécialisation dans la maille. Sa belle collection Nieva est minimaliste, avec un soucit du détail assez poussé. En regardant la collection Nieva, il on confirme que tout est simplicité, qualité et beauté. Aino vise à concevoir des vêtements qui ne sont pas trop fragiles ou précieux pour l’adapter à l’usage quotidien des enfants. Elle les rend confortables et les tricots sont fonctionnels. Ils sont conçus en  Finlande et fabriqué de façon honnête et équitable par des artisans au Portugal et en Bolivie. Au Portugal, Nieva est produit dans un petit atelier à Porto (avec des fils danois). En Bolivie, qui a été choisie pour le savoir-faire étonnant dans le tricotage, la marque travaille avec un grand producteur certifié en commerce équitable utilisant du coton Pima. Une belle collection nordique poétique à souhait !

Aino Korhonen is a Finnish designer (and mom of two young boys) who lives in Helsinki.  She has MA in fashion design from Aalto University of Art and Design with a specialization in knitwear. Her beautiful collection Nieva is minimalist, with an eye toward detail and hand feel. And looking at the Nieva collection confirms that it’s all about simplicity and deep quality.  Aino aims at designing clothes that aren’t too fragile or precious as for her the meaning of clothes is to be used as much as possible. She makes them comfortable and functional.The knits are designed in Finland and manufactured in an honest and fair manner by artisans in Portugal and Bolivia. In Portugal, Nieva is produced in a small workshop in Porto (with Danish yarns). In Bolivia, which was chosen for the amazing know­-how in knitting, the brand works with a great fair­trade certified producer using the local Pima Cotton.A very poetic surrounding for a beautiful Northern collection.
